donna vivino has spent her life shining on a broadway stage.

In addition to be a talented broadway professional, Donna Vivino is a top-notch educator. She has the unique ability to use the strengths of her students to catapult them beyond their challenges. Under Ms. Vivino’s direction, my daughter has improved her singing technique and gained confidence.

After seeing Donna Vivino perform Broadway musical numbers a few years ago, we learned that she also teaches and coaches young artists. My daughter Samantha has performed in musical theater since she was 5 years old, but never had professional training or coaching. We were very fortunate to have Donna start working with Samantha during her Sophomore year in High School. Samantha is now a Senior and, thanks to the artistic training she has received from Donna, her vocal and acting skills have dramatically improved. Donna’s work with Samantha on role as Adelaide in her High School musical of Guys and Dolls prepared her well for a role that she connected with and loved, and that she received a Metro nomination award for. Donna also works with other young artists in our town. I can attest that, like with my daughter, Donna gets to know them personally and tailors her teaching to support and enhance each of their unique skills. Now as Samantha prepares for college, Donna continues to work with her on her vocal and acting technique and, as important, to understand the professional word of musical theater. We are so grateful to have Donna, such an accomplished professional artist, as a teacher and mentor to our daughter these past few years. The skills, confidence and life lessons Samantha has gained from working with Donna are invaluable.

I had the privilege of being the pianist for both Donna Vivino’s cabaret performance as well as her master class in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Donna is not only an incredible performer and excellent to collaborate with, she is extremely supportive, kind, and professional in her teaching. She is encouraging while still pursuing only the highest quality of performance. Donna digs deep into the song’s text, stays true to the musical requests of the composer, all the while maintaining a friendly yet professional environment. It is an absolute joy to watch her work with performers of all levels!
